The UtilityIQ application suite includes utility applications for smart grid initiatives as well as network administration software for configuring, upgrading, and managing the smart utility network.
UtilityIQ Advanced Metering Export Changes
The UtilityIQ Advanced Metering Manager software automates the costly and time-consuming process of collecting meter data. Having continuous connectivity with meters enables smart utility networks to improve energy efficiency, increase the accuracy of their customer billing, support remote disconnect and reconnect services, improves Outage Detection System and isolation. Smart grid services include integrating the UtilityIQ Advanced Metering data into a utility’s MDM system.
The UtilityIQ Power Monitor software provides proactive alerts about any meter locations at which voltage levels fall outside a utility-set threshold. The software leverages the distributed intelligence within the Silver Spring Smart Energy Platform to localize polling within the meter, with the Silver Spring Communications Module sending back alerts only for exception data.
The UtilityIQ Outage Detection System pinpoints the time, type, and location of outages, speeding restoration. The outage data, correlated across multiple network elements, enables utilities to quickly identify and resolve issues and automates the process for scoping and reporting on outages and restorations. Just as with UtilityIQ AMM, the integration team will work to integrate UtilityIQ Outage Detection data into the utility’s ODM back-office software.
The UtilityIQ Demand Response Manager software provides the HAN device control, DR program management, and analytics needed to implement both pricing-based and direct load control DR programs. The software works with both UtilityIQ Advanced Metering Manager and the Silver Spring CustomerIQ energy web portal to help utilities cut energy use during peak load times.
The UtilityIQ Administrative Tools provide a range of system management, upgrade, and configuration capabilities, designed for use in a utility’s lab, out in the field, or as part of an OEM’s manufacturing process. The GridScape for DA application provides configuration, management, and security functions for managing Distribution Automation networks.
