Integration Description
Silver Spring Networks and Greenbox Technology are working together to create an integrated smart metering solution that will allow utility companies to offer their residential customers a web-based interface that will provide visibility and control over their utility usage throughout the home. The Greenbox Portal will communicate with Silver Spring Networks’ UtilityIQ® system to utilize advanced meter data to provide unique insights to each household's consumption habits. The Greenbox Portal can also communicate with devices in-premise providing households with an interface to conveniently manage thermostats and other smart appliances/devices. The partnership between Silver Spring Networks and Greenbox Technology will help provide the crucial last leg to smart metering by empowering energy consumers to understand and manage their consumption habits.
