Silver Spring Networks and Carrier are working together to interface the Carrier 2-way Smart Thermostat with the Silver Spring Smart Energy Network. This will provide utility companies with a leading demand response thermostat solution that utilizes the AMI network for communications. The Carrier thermostat is a proven solution with major deployments at a number of utility companies across the country. In addition to demand response, the Carrier thermostat can respond to real-time pricing signals and also offers time-of-use features for utilities using TOU rates. Carrier's market-leading thermostat and this partnership bring value added demand response and peak pricing features to utility companies deploying UtilityIQ® Advanced Metering.
