Judy Lin Joins Silver Spring Networks Executive Team as Chief Product Officer

Redwood City, CA, July 15, 2009 - Silver Spring Networks, a leading Smart Grid network solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Judy Lin to the role of Chief Product Officer. Judy will be responsible for Silver Spring Networks' hardware and software product offerings, and will report directly to Silver Spring Networks CEO, Chairman and President Scott Lang. In this role, Judy will work closely with utility customers to deliver innovative and industry-leading open, IP-based networking solutions.

"Judy brings an incredible track record of leading development organizations from start-ups to billion-dollar businesses," said Scott. "She has a solid background in hardware, software and services and shares our passion for building the Smart Grid. We are thrilled to have her on the team."

Judy most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Ethernet Switching Technology Group. Prior to Cisco, she was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Electronics for Imaging, a leading provider of imaging solutions. In 1996, Judy joined VeriSign as a founding member of the development team, where she was instrumental in building the technology, infrastructure, and products that led the company to $1.5 billion in revenue. While at VeriSign, she served as Senior Vice President of product development, IT services, and infrastructure operations and as Executive Vice President and General Manager for the security services division.
