Warren Jenson Named Chief Operating Officer of Silver Spring Networks

Company Organizing to Capitalize on Global Growth of the Smart Grid

June 24, 2010, Redwood City, CA – Silver Spring Networks, a leading provider of smart grid solutions, today announced Warren Jenson has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Company.  In this newly formed office, Warren assumes responsibility for all aspects of operations, including product development, manufacturing, quality and services.

“We have experienced strong growth and Warren’s appointment as COO is a natural step in the progression of our company,” said Scott Lang, President, Chairman and CEO of Silver Spring Networks.  “Warren’s contributions and leadership over the past two years have been pivotal to our growth and success, making him the right choice to serve as our COO.”

Warren will continue to serve as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer until his replacement is named.  He has over 25 years of experience guiding industry-leading companies through product and service expansion and globalization. He has been recognized for his visionary leadership by Institutional Investor, having been named as one of the best CFOs in America. Before joining Silver Spring, Warren served as CFO for Electronic Arts, Amazon.com and Delta Air Lines. Prior to that, he held several positions as part of the General Electric Company, including CFO and Senior Vice President of the National Broadcasting Company.
