Matt Oja Joins Silver Spring Networks as Vice President of
Customer Operations
San Mateo, CA, April 10, 2006 - Following a year of customer acquisition, product advancement and exciting partner developments, Silver Spring Networks, innovators of open, standards-based utility networking technology, announced today Matt Oja as Vice President of Customer Operations. Matt will be responsible for all facets of customer operations and will report to Scott Lang, President and CEO.

Most recently a member of the senior management team at Idacomm, Matt joins Silver Spring Networks with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of customer operations, strategic planning, sales and marketing management, new revenue development, and market expansion. In addition, Matt has held a variety of management positions with Progress Energy, Teledyne Brown Engineering, and Scientific Atlanta. Matt holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Emory University. Matt has published articles in such industry journals as UTC Journal and Electric Perspectives and has been a board member of multiple industry boards such as the United Power Line Council, DistribuTECH Advisory Committee, Power Line Communications Association, Metering International Advisory Board, and was a member of the State of Massachusetts Working Group on Electricity Deregulation.
